Investing in our future, divesting from our past. From climate risk to climate opportunity

Arranged by the Faculty of Law, UIB, and the Research group for Natural Resource Law, Environmental Law and Development Law in cooperation with the Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation (CET), the Research group for international law and the Research group for EU/EEA Commercial Law. The event is part of Klimafestivalen § 112 – Bergen (11 January 2020-2 February 2020).
With the EU Commission newly releasing its European Green Deal, we would like to warmly invite to an international conference addressing one of the European Green Deal’s thematic areas: sustainable finance, particularly divestment. How can we divest from GHG-intensive activities and invest in cutting-edge technology for a sustainable future?
Our guests are economists, lawyers, jurists, linguists and political scientists from Norway, the United States, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, and France. The event is free of charge (with breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks powered by Colonialen).
